Gorakhpur, JNN. Police security was increased in all districts of Gorakhpur, Basti Mandal on Friday due to the ruckus against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Police personnel have been deployed on the sidelines in Gorakhpur. Security has been increased after the major mosques in Gorakhpur.

A large number of police personnel have been deployed outside the Jama Masjid in Ghantaghar. In the Muslim-dominated clock tower area, some people tried to close shops. There are also reports of some shopkeepers opening shops by tying black bands.
